About us

Home Inspection CR is a company formed by John McGraw and Kate Hayes. We have been living in Costa Rica for the past four years and we created this company from the realization that home inspections just don’t exist in Costa Rica.

In the United States and Canada a home inspection is part of the process. It is our belief that the time has come to bring this service to Costa Rica.

All of our employees are certified according to US standards. They are certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the National Association of Home Inspectors and the Home Inspectors Foundation. And they have undergone rigorous onsite training here in Costa Rica. We also have licensed Costa Rican structural and civil engineers on our staff.

With this business we hope to add a level of transperancy in the real estate market that has not existed in the past here in Costa Rica. We see it as a win-win for all involved.
